Olio Capitale, which will start 2 to 5 March 2012, is in its sixth year. Excellent prospects for an event that is the real point of olive oil supply chain annual meeting of the Italian. With the event also kicks off the competition with a formula established and already copied elsewhere.

It's the market to reward the best oils of the Mediterranean basin. Three juries will alternate oils finalists, after the severe and scrupulous pre-selection by the Department of Food Science of Bologna. Expert tasters, restaurateurs and professional users and consumers can evaluate the product oils of excellence, such as those who have ever reached the final stages of the competition. But in the end, the winner will be one for each category (light, medium, heavy) with a token of honor given by each jury.

The formula is not the only value added Oil Capital of the competition.

The maximum transparency at every stage of the competition, with the names of the jurors (tasters and restaurateurs) published on the internet, and the finals taking place during the event and then to sunlight.

Not only that, the winners of the competition, in addition to the prestigious award will also receive the opportunity to freely participate as exhibitors, 2013 edition of Olio Capitale. Not to be missed!

To participate the competition must be received, from January 9 and no later than February 15, 2012:

a) application, written on the form, by courier, fax or other means placed at the following address:
Capital Oil Competition c / o Fiera Trieste, Piazzale De Gasperi 1, 34139 Trieste

b) 6 bottles of a minimum of 500 ml each labeled and packaged according to applicable laws

c) Certificate of chemical analysis of oil samples submitted for the competition, issued by a laboratory which contains the following data: free acidity, expressed as a percentage of weight in grams of oleic acid, number of peroxides.

Participation in the competition requires a fee of 50 euros + VAT by the participants, but this figure excludes all the exhibitors, even those that are part of cumulative stand, as Regions, Chambers of Commerce, provinces and municipalities.
